Session two

What are your thoughts and feelings about being depression, loneliness, heartbreaks, being different from your peers, and having to put up a front? How do /would you deal with some of these issues.

It is simple to be depressed especially when the person does not understand you. I deal with depression by talking to other people and cheering myself up.

Loneliness can be depressing as there is no one to talk to. It can be dealt with by doing stuff that can be done alone like sewing or kicking a ball around.

Heartbreaks may hurt one very badly, and make one think that he/she would never fall in love ever again. This can be dealt with by confiding in a close relative or a close friend, releasing pent up emotions.

Being different from one’s peers can be difficult to deal with especially if your peers make a fuss out of it, bullying you. This can be dealt with by being up front and stating one’s point in the matter.

Putting up a front is tough as people don’t really understand how you are feeling and your feelings are pent up inside and they can build up till one breaks down. This can be be dealt with by confiding in someone that you trust, releasing your pent up anger by punching a pillow or something that is soft and non-living, thereby not hurting yourself and others.
